Pikes Peak Miner Jeremy Swayman was drafted by Sioux Falls in the United States Hockey League.  As the nation's only Tier I Junior League, the USHL represents a key step in the ladder of development.  Over 95% of USHL players receive an opportunity to play Division I college hockey.

"Congratulations to Jeremy for being selected, this is a testament to his dedication to developing as a player, athlete and hockey citizen", stated CSAHA Executive Director Brian Copeland.

Swayman's Head Coach Greg Vanover was extremely happy with Jeremy getting the opportunity to compete for a roster spot in Sioux Falls. "Jeremy is a very determined, focused, athlete.  He carries himself that way with everything he does, on ice, off ice, weight room, class room.  Everything he did with the Miners this last year was with a purpose.  And today was a culmination of that.  I'm excited and very happy for him" said Vanover  While it is just the next step in his journey, he knows the task now is to go and make Sioux Falls.  He has the character to take this journey a long way and I'm excited to watch it unfold for him."
