The Colorado Springs Amateur Hockey Association (CSAHA) is pleased to announce that 7 Junior Tiger girls have been selected to participate in USA Hockey’s Multi-District Girls' Development Camp which will be held in Colorado Springs from June 11th through June 16th.

“We are very proud of these players,” said Junior Tigers President Cory Portner.  “They have all worked hard to earn a place at the camp and it’s a credit to all the Tiger coaches who have helped them over the years.”

MeiLan Haberl (born in 2000) will be making her 3rd appearance at the Multi District Camp and has twice been selected to advance from this camp to her age group’s USA Hockey National Camp. Haberl played on the CSAHA Midget A and girls 19U teams last season, and is a strong candidate to advance to another National Camp.

A trio of Tigers will be participating at the 2001 birth year level with a chance to advance to their age group’s National Camp. Celinka Pietraszek is back for her 2nd camp, while Hailey Boyle and goaltender Katy Cooley have made the camp for the 1st time. Pietraszek played for the Tigers Bantam AA team and 14U AA girls team last year, Boyle played on the Bantam B Gold team and the girls 14U and 19U teams, while Cooley was on both the girls 14U and 19U teams.

Three Tigers will make their initial appearance at the camp at the 2002 age level. Abbey Kelleher and Aubrey Woods both played on the Tigers Bantam B Black and the girls 14U AA team last year. Ellie Reiter was a practice player with the Bantam A team last season while playing on an out of state girls team. There isn’t a National Camp for the 2002’s but players will have an opportunity to impress coaches and scouts.

Additionally, two former Junior Tigers, Chloe Beaubien (2001) and Madison Morton (2001), were selected to attend their 2nd Multi District camp

The camp will feature the top 280 female players born between 1999 and 2002 from 19 states in the western region of the US.  The players at the camp were selected from more than 2,500 girls playing in these age groups in this part of the country. The camp serves as part of USA Hockey’s development and evaluation process for future girls and women’s national and Olympic teams.
