Colorado Springs Amateur Hockey is proud to announce that Kevin Holmstrom will be the 18U AAA Head Coach for the 2016-2017.  Kevin brings an impressive resume of coaching and developing players at the elite level.  Kevin has spent time as a coach with the Miners, Thunderbirds and Rampage, and was instrumental in the creation of the Colorado Thunderbirds organization.

"When we started our search for a new 18U coach and created a checklist of traits, experience, and knowledge we wanted in a candidate, we found ourselves lucky to find a coach that checked all the boxes, and more" stated CSAHA Executive Director Brian Copeland.  Copeland added, "We have no doubt in Kevin's ability to develop every player on our 18U team, but he brings along the experience, knowledge and passion to help move the entire club to a higher level.  We are extremely happy to have him involved with our club."

"As a hockey family, I have dedicated years to the development of young athletes and development of the game in Colorado Springs and its associations. We have been fortunate to see our two boys advance through the ranks of the USHL to Division 1 college scholarships and finally signing and playing in the NHL for our oldest son" stated Holmstrom.  "All of my coaching and business background and success of not only our two sons but many other players give me a unique understanding of the work and dedication it takes young men to achieve their dreams and goals which I would like to be an integral part of in your organization and be responsible for not only the success of your business but also in developing young men. My background in navigating players through each and every level and understanding the skill sets both on and off the ice will be very valuable to any organization".

Kevin lives in Colorado Springs with his wife, Michelle.  Their oldest son, Ben, is currently in the New York Islanders organization playing in the AHL and youngest son, Josh, is also in the Islanders organization between the AHL and ECHL.
