The Pueblo Tigers Squirt B team went on an impressive undefeated run to claim the 2018 Durango Freeze Tournament Championship!  The Tigers defeated Davis County, Summit and the NM Scorpions in round robin play to earn a berth in the championship game.  Facing the host Durango squad in the championship, the Tigers found themselves in a back and forth match, with the scored tied up 3-3 late in the second period.  The Tigers then tilted the rink in their favor and battled hard to an eventual 8-4 championship victory.

"The Pueblo Tigers went into Durango as a hockey team and left as a hockey family" stated Head Coach Mike Dorwart.  "There is nothing better as a coach to see the excitement of a first year squirt scoring his first hat trick, and another player celebrating  his first championship game win!  Our team has varying degrees of skill but collectively they are a might force" added Dorwart.

In all, nine different Tigers found themselves on the scoresheet and the goaltending duo of Krenz and Simpson only allowed four goals against for the entire tournament.

Congrats to the Pueblo Tigers Squirt B team on earning the championship banner!
